How does IdealZero prevent pinch hazards?

Is waste more likely to stick in the Patented U-Shaped Chute?
Keeping litter filled up to the MAX line effectively prevents sticking. B1's litter chamber features a fully enclosed, ultra-smooth interior — urine doesn't absorb in, and waste doesn't stick. A rinse cleans it right off. This is a world-first design, with a patent application filed.
What if the sensors stop working?
Even if the sensors fail, B1’s patented U-shaped Chute cannot physically pinch a cat. Safety is built into the structure, not dependent on electronics.
B1 also uses industrial-grade sensors with automatic self-calibration, making sensor failures extremely rare.
How often should I do a deep clean? How long does it take? Do I need any tools?
Depending on usage, we recommend a deep clean every 1–3 months to give your cat the cleanest possible experience. The entire process takes about 10 minutes with no tools required — LEGO-style disassembly, rinse and dry, reassemble and you're done.
Do I need to use specific waste bags or litter?
Any standard bags from a regular store will work — no proprietary bags required (bags must be larger than 640×350 mm to fit the waste drawer; smaller bags may result in leaks).
Litter requirements: must be clumping, with granules ≤8 mm in diameter (bentonite, tofu, tapioca, or tofu-blend litters all work).
*Non-clumping litters such as crystal or pine pellets are not compatible, as urine clumps cannot be sifted and removed.
What is the maximum noise level when it's running?
Up to 35 dB — equivalent to a soft whisper in a quiet room at night. Lab tests show 99% of cats show no reaction to this volume.
You can run it right outside the bedroom without disturbing people or startling your cat.
Can multiple cats share one B1?
Yes. B1 is designed for multi-cat households and comfortably supports 2–3 cats. Its 12L waste bin typically lasts up to 5 days, while the built-in AI camera can recognize up to 10 individual cats.
For homes with more than three cats, we recommend using two units.
What cat sizes is B1 designed for? Does it work for kittens?
B1 is designed for cats weighing 1.5 kg–10 kg(3.3–22 lb), from small breeds to medium-large cats like Maine Coons.
Kittens under 1.5 kg(3.3 lbs) will trigger the protection mode, which automatically disables auto-cleaning. During this period, you can use the manual button on the unit or trigger a clean remotely via the app — until they grow bigger.
How well does it control odor?
B1 uses a four-layer odor elimination system that targets odors at the source rather than masking them:
①a fresh-air circulation system reduces humidity and inhibits bacteria;
②a green tea deodorizing block absorbs residual odor molecules;
③a fur-strip gasket and pull-seal bag provide dual odor lockout.
What happens during a power outage or internet outage?
Internet outage: B1 continues running normally. Auto-cleaning and safety sensors are unaffected. Data syncs to the app automatically once connectivity is restored.
Power outage: The unit stops running, but the litter chamber entrance remains physically open at all times, so your cat can freely enter and exit as normal. Once power is restored, the unit automatically resumes cleaning.
Will my cat adapt to an automatic litter box?
